Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire visited Global Inkjet Systems (GIS) to present the company with their Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2013.

GIS, a leading developer of software drivers and electronics for industrial inkjet printheads, received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2013 in the International Trade category, in recognition of the company’s achievements in growing revenues in overseas markets throughout Europe, the USA and Asia. 89% of the company’s total sales in 2012 were in international markets – an increase from 47% in 2010. Overseas sales growth was 132% in 2012.

The Lord-Lieutenant presented the award at GIS’ Head Office in Cambridge where he met with many members of the team who have been instrumental in helping GIS win this prestigious award. Nick Geddes, CEO of GIS commented, “We are delighted to have won the Queen’s Award as it recognises the innovation, commitment and hard work of many individuals. The growth we’ve achieved is thanks to a coordinated effort from all parts of the GIS team, spanning research and development, production, sales and support.”

GIS technology drives thousands of industrial inkjet printheads worldwide in a very wide range of applications and the company will be launching a number of new products before the end of this year.
