Global Inkjet Systems (GIS), a leading developer of integrated inkjet printhead operating systems, today announced the launch of their new head personality board for Toshiba Tec CF1 printheads. The new board provides a direct link between the GIS Print Manager Board (PMB) and the CF1 printhead and is able to drive up to 4 printheads from a single board, enabling compact system designs.
The Toshiba Tec CF1 printhead is being increasingly used in large single pass systems and a wide range of applications including labels, packaging and ceramic tile printing and the new GIS drive electronics solution has already been incorporated in several large systems.
“We worked closely with customers to design a solution that best suits their needs and we decided very quickly that a board capable of driving up to four printheads was preferable to a single board per head, simplifying the system architecture” commented Nick Geddes, CEO of GIS.
The HIB-TT-636 board is the latest new product launched by GIS this year, following the successful introduction of the HIB-XR-1001 direct drive board for Xaar 1001 printheads. Further new product development is underway and more announcements will be made soon.
